Sean Donahue received his MD PhD from Emory University and residency in Pittsburgh, followed by fellowships in Neuro and Peds in Iowa.
He is the Vice-Chair of Clinical Affairs for the Department of Ophthalmology at Vanderbilt and the President of AAPOS.
He has trained over 150 medical students and residents, and over two dozen fellows. He has 275 peer-reviewed publications. His areas of research are in automated preschool vision screening, clinical trials with PEDIG, surgery for complicated strabismus, gene therapy for LHON, and Virtual Reality Perimetry.
He has given over 300 invited lectures and presentations across all six populated continents, including 20 named lectures.
